The Carleton Place Drug Strategy Committee was created by the Town Council with the mandate to "address alcohol and other drug problems through communication and collaboration across the four pillars of prevention, enforcement, harm reduction, and treatment to meet the needs of the Town of Carleton Place." They are a group of dedicated volunteers that meet monthly (on the third Thursday of the month) from September to June. The meetings are usually held at the municipal heritage log building on Bridge Street and start at 7:00 pm and are open to the public and visitors are more than welcome.
