Community Events Calendar

Downtown Carleton Place, in collaboration with the Town of Carleton Place, our Sister City Committee, announces a new event to the citizens of Carleton Place. The inaugural Carleton Place Pumpkinfest, October 20th, 2018. The event will be held at Memorial Park (the park beside the Carleton Place Library) and will run from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

Each year Carleton Place sends an enormous pumpkin to Franklin TN, our Sister City, but before that pumpkin starts its journey, it will make it’s debut here in Carleton Place! This event would serve as both a nod to our Sister City in Franklin Tennessee, but also as a substitute to Downtown Carleton Place ‘Trick or Treat’ Day. It is a true collaboration between, The Town of Carleton Place, the Sister City Committee and Downtown Carleton Place. 

Families will be encouraged to don their Halloween best and partake in passport style activities, such as mini pumpkin decorating, GIANT Pumpkin photo booth, an afternoon kids Halloween dance party, pumpkin-themed games, face painting, and a large straw bale climbing pyramid and slide centre. 

We will be giving out loot bags to 400 kids, they need to participate in 5 activities, and have their pumpkin passport signed by the activity leader. St. James Gate will be hosting a Hot Wing Eating Competition! More details to follow for sign up.
