Construction Update - August 16 2019

The Town of Carleton Place together with AECON would like to inform residents of the following activities planned for the coming days:

Herriott Street – Residents are being informed to have their waste and recycling at the curb for 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19th for collection.  Paving crews will start paving Herriott Street once the waste collection crews have cleared the streets of waste.

High Street – Crews will be closing High Street to the general public, allowing local traffic only, starting Monday, August 19th.  We are asking residents who frequently use High Street as a thoroughfare to use an alternative route until the construction is complete.  Crews will be removing the existing asphalt and will begin working on the storm sewer, catchbasins, and services.  Crews will also be working within the intersection of High Street and Moffatt Street, therefore the intersection will be closed.  Detour routes will be posted to direct residents away from the intersection.

AECON and the Town of Carleton Place request your assistance in ensuring safe and efficient work zones.  We are encouraging residents to avoid the construction zones.  However, should residents be travelling within the construction zones, we urge you to proceed with caution and follow the directions provided by the Traffic Control persons and posted construction signage.
