Spring Curbside Leaf Collection Spring Curbside Leaf Collection  The Public Works Department will begin curbside leaf collection starting on Monday, April 22nd, 2024. The collection will run until Friday, May 3rd. Please place leaf bags at the curb for collection and follow these guidelines:  Bags should be at the curb by 7:00 a.m.   Public Works will only accept items in paper leaf bags. Items in plastic bags will not be collected.  Bags must not exceed 15 kg.  We are appealing to residents to please be patient with Public Works staff as we do our best to collect the significant volume of bags

National Day of Mourning - April 28th, 2024 Whereas, the National Day of Mourning has been recognized since April 28th, 1991 and is observed across Canada to pay our respects to the thousands of workers impacted by a workplace fatality, injury or suffered illness; and WHEREAS, we honour the many families and friends who have been deeply affected by these tragedies; and WHEREAS, every worker has the right to return home safe and sound at the end of each work day; and WHEREAS, by working together with employers, workers and our health and safety partners, we can prevent worker injuries and deaths before they occur.
