Queen's Platinum Jubilee Garden Party

Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum (267 Edmund St)

On February 6th, 2022, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.

To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place worldwide throughout the year.

The Carleton Place and Beckwith Historical Society, is planning a British-style Garden Party to be held in the Victoria School Garden on June 4.

All are invited to dress in their most royal outfit, bring a picnic lunch, and join in the afternoon’s festivities! Planning is still in the early stages, so if your group or club might be interested in participating, please do get in touch.

Of course, tea and cake will be served!

The Queen became Britain’s longest-reigning monarch in 2015, surpassing her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria’s record of 63 years and seven months.
