DESCRIPTION:Get ready to unleash your creativity and take home your very own handmade soaps!\nThis workshop will begin with an introduction to the hot process soap making method. Participants will be provided with an informative handout (which includes recipe) that they can keep for future reference. Safety measures will be explained and followed during the workshop. All participants will be provided with safety glasses\, mask\, and gloves. \nUpon registering for the workshop\, please include a note in the “note” field to indicate which scent you would like to use. Choose from any one of the essential oil blends below (or you may request a custom scent):\n1) Eucalyptus & Lavender\n2) Lemongrass\n3) Rosemary & Spearmint \nDepending on the size of the group\, you will be teamed up with one or two other participants to create a 2lb batch of soap. Parents do not have to stay in the library\, but please make sure your child is able to contact you in case the session ends a bit early.\nSTEM programming at the library is super important as it exposes kids to Science\, Technology\, Engineering and Math skills they may not get in the classroom.
