SUMMARY:Pat Moore and Pat MacLaughlin - Art House Music Concert
DESCRIPTION:Pat Moore and Pat McLaughlin are two Canadian musicians who frequently collaborate\, often performing together as a duo or with other musicians in the bluegrass and folk music scene. Pat McLaughlin plays guitar and provides vocal harmonies for Pat Moore\, who is a singer-songwriter.\nPat Moore’s voice has a warm and expressive quality\, as perfectly suited to a rich ballad\, as it is to an up-tempo power song.  She moves easily from the storytelling of the singer/songwriter genre\, to the lonesome sound of traditional country and bluegrass. Born and raised in Ottawa\, Ontario\, she grew up in a house filled with music\, from show tunes to Peter\, Paul\, & Mary\, and Gordon Lightfoot; and later jazz masters like Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles to bluegrass legends like Bill Monroe\, and Flatt and Scruggs. As a young girl she would sing harmonies with her sisters while doing the supper dishes – songs from the Momas and Papas\, and Simon and Garfunkel.\nThey are both associated with other musicians like Ann Downey and have performed at various Ontario festivals and venues\, such as the Ottawa Grassroots Festival. \n“Audiences delight in Pat Moore’s radiant stage presence and warm\,\nexpressive voice. She writes\, plays and sings from the heart\, delivering strong stories of life andlove we long to hear again… and again… and again!”\nChris White\, Host\, Canadian Spaces\, CKCU. &Founding Artistic Director\, Ottawa Folk Festival\n“Pat McLaughlin is one of the most tasteful and masterful guitar/mandolin B y : players you’ll hear- ever!” Everyone who’s Heard Him \nhttps://www.patmoore.net/
