No previous art experience required but great for emerging artists as well. \nRick Roberts has been hosting art workshops for several years.  Neurographic Line Art is a derivative of one of the main art therapies used today for the treatment of anxiety\, stress and pain.   ‘I AM NOT A THERAPIST.   I teach these learned skills as a fun and relaxing style of abstract art.  I believe everyone could benefit in some way from this process of creating!’\nThis will be a time for reflection\, transformation\, and stepping into new opportunities. DESCRIPTION:Pat Moore and Pat McLaughlin are two Canadian musicians who frequently collaborate\, often performing together as a duo or with other musicians in the bluegrass and folk music scene. Pat McLaughlin plays guitar and provides vocal harmonies for Pat Moore\, who is a singer-songwriter.\nPat Moore’s voice has a warm and expressive quality\, as perfectly suited to a rich ballad\, as it is to an up-tempo power song.  She moves easily from the storytelling of the singer/songwriter genre\, to the lonesome sound of traditional country and bluegrass. Born and raised in Ottawa\, Ontario\, she grew up in a house filled with music\, from show tunes to Peter\, Paul\, & Mary\, and Gordon Lightfoot; and later jazz masters like Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles to bluegrass legends like Bill Monroe\, and Flatt and Scruggs. DESCRIPTION:The Carleton Place Gallery is thrilled to announce the first-ever Carleton Place Riverfront Artscape\, a vibrant outdoor festival of locally and lovingly produced art\, music and food to be held on Saturday\, August 16\, from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm along the beautiful Mississippi riverside in Sinclair Square adjacent to the Gallery on 210 Bridge Street. \nConceived and organized by Ginny Fobert\, owner of the Carleton Place Gallery – which showcases local and regional artists year-round and is a hub for creativity in the Ottawa Valley – this brand-new community event brings together top notch fine artists for a fabulous outdoor summer art show\, complemented by a full day of live music and food from Blue Spoon Atelier and El Patchos Tacos.
