The Public Works Department would like to advise residents that leaves in paper bags can be placed curbside for pick-up by the Town from November 1st to November 12th. Leaves placed curbside beyond November 12th will not be collected. We are requesting everyone’s patience as the volume of leaf bags at the curb can be overwhelming. Due to the volume of bags requiring collection we cannot provide the exact day that we will be collecting bags in your neighbourhood. Town staff are unable to collect leaves from every street, every day, therefore, it may be several days before the leaves on your street have been picked up. Here are the important details:
• Please have leaf bags at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. for collection.
• Bags cannot exceed 15kg.
• Paper bags only! Leaves in plastic bags will not be collected.
• Residents are encouraged to bring their leaf bags to the Compost Yard located at 128 Patterson Crescent. The Compost Yard is open each Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon) until November 12th (weather permitting).
The Carleton Place Public Works Department appreciates your patience and understanding. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding leaf collection please contact the Public Works office at (613) 257-2253.
