What's New
Central Bridge Construction Update – January 27th, 2022 - This week Louis Bray Construction closed the Central Bridge to vehicle and pedestrian traffic and quickly got to work despite frigid temperatures. This major undertaking began with the removal of decorative features and asphalt removal.
Next week demolition crews will be mobilizing and will carefully start the demolition process. Crews will also be decommissioning the existing watermain on the Central Bridge.
Gilles Bridge and McArthur Island Watermain Crossing - Louis Bray Construction has now completed the commissioning process of the new watermain and will be completing the final Rosamond Street connections overnight on Thursday and then on Saturday morning, crews will move to Princess and Franklin Streets. Once the final connections have been made, crews will begin the process of removing fences and traffic control barrels.
Crews will be maintaining the flow of traffic northbound while work is ongoing, but there may be short intervals of interruption in the flow of traffic to allow for the movement of equipment.
