OTHER UPDATES

Lanark County OPP

Mental Health - Living life during a pandemic is difficult for everyone and can affect all aspects of our lives including our mental health.  Help is only a call away. The Mental Health Crisis Line for Lanark, Leeds & Grenville area is 1-866-281-2911, Kids Help Phone is 1-800-668-6868 or text the word ‘CONNECT’ to 686868.

Fraud - Lanark County OPP wish to remind residents to change their passwords regularly as 3 of the 4 reported frauds last week involved hacking of passwords.  Also, when asked “do you want to save your password for this site” answer NO.  Although it can be a pain to type in your password every time, it is much safer.  If threatened to “pay or else” NEVER PAY.  Scammers aren’t honest and will try to get more money from you.

Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit

This May 31st is World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). Join us to reveal industry tactics and debunk myths that aim to attract younger generations to vaping products.  Together we can help to empower young people with the knowledge required to easily detect industry persuasion and equip them with the tools to rebuff such tactics.
