The Town of Carleton Place would like to advise residents the closure of the Central Bridge has been delayed until Monday, January 24th.
Unfortunately, supply chain issues delayed the reopening of the Gillies Bridge before the holidays. But we are pleased to announce the Gillies Bridge will reopen to northbound traffic only starting Tuesday, January 18th.
The Town of Carleton Place is encouraging pedestrians to utilize the Ottawa Valley Rail Trail to cross the river while the Central Bridge is under construction.
