Changes to Recycling Collection The Town of Carleton Place Public Works Department would like to inform residents that effective June 1st, 2020 Emterra Environmental will be providing recycling collection and processing services on behalf of the Town.  Initially residents will not see any changes at the curb, however the Town will begin the transition to a dual stream process with alternating collection of paper products and other recyclable materials each week starting August of 2020.  Residents will be receiving a new yellow bin from Emterra and along with promotional information including a calendar to help

Covid-19 - Update #74 MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT UPDATES Public Works Maintenance - Please be advised the following Public Works activities will be occurring on Wednesday, June 3rd: Road Closure - Albert Street (between Beckwith Street – Judson Street) – The street will be closed starting at 7:00 a.m. for repairs to the distribution system.  Detours will be in place to assist residents.  Single Lane Reduction – Waterside Drive – A portion of Waterside Drive will be reduced to one lane for repairs to the water distribution system.  Residents will still be able to use Waterside Drive, however traffic

Covid-19 - Update #72 PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT UPDATES Today, the Ontario government made amendments to the Retirement Homes Act, 2010 regulation, enabling the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) to better support seniors living in retirement homes during the COVID-19 outbreak.    As of June 1, backcountry camping will be available at Ontario Parks, including access points, paddle and portage routes and hiking trails.
