The Public Works Department and Louis Bray Construction would like to remind residents that starting at noon today, crews will be undertaking preparations to lift the final six (6) girders into place onto the Central Bridge.  This requires a closure of Bridge Street from Franklin Street to the river and the intersection at Bridge Street and Mill Street for the arrival of the crane which will be located at the intersection of Bridge Street and Mill Street.  Louis Bray has advised the Town that the girders will arrive on-site Thursday morning, with each girder to arrive on a separate transport truck.   Residents can park vehicles on Beckwith Street or at the Library and then make their way to this portion of Bridge Street as businesses will remain open and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the construction period.
