The Public Works Department would like to remind residents that weather, staffing, and supply of materials can impact the construction schedule. Activities anticipated for the upcoming week include the following:
Carleton Place Arena Parking Lot (75 Neelin Street)
Cavanagh Construction Ltd. completed the base lift of asphalt and will be adjusting iron structures next week.
Joseph Street Pumping Station
Work will resume at the Joseph Street Pumping Station in preparation for the construction of the new building, the generator pad, and the gas meter pad.
Bridge Street Landscape Features
Louis Bray’s staff are continuing to prepare the bases for the raised planters.
Barclay Street & Barker Street
Paving operations are anticipated to be completed this week. Crews will then move onto driveway repairs, where needed. Crews will also be repairing any landscaping areas damaged by construction activities.
Ferrill Crescent & Mailey Drive
Cavanagh’s staff will be adjusting iron structures next week.
Campbell Street
Cavanagh will continue with excavation activities and then begin replacing granular materials.
