Construction Update - September 3, 2020

The Town of Carleton Place would like to advise our residents of the following activities for the coming week:

High Street - Cavanagh’s crews will be removing portions of the concrete curb where required and removing asphalt for road excavation activities and the addition of granular material. Crews will also be removing a large section of sidewalk and preparing for the sidewalk to be replaced. With the removal of the sidewalk, the Town of Carleton Place and Cavanagh Construction are requesting pedestrians avoid this portion of High Street for safety reasons until the new sidewalk is in place.

Together, Thomas Cavanagh Construction and the Town of Carleton Place would like to ask for everyone’s help in ensuring safe and efficient work zones. We would like to encourage residents to avoid the construction zones, however, should residents be travelling within the construction zones we urge you to proceed with caution and follow the directions provided by the Traffic Control persons and posted construction signage.

Franklin Street - The Town of Carleton Place would like to ask residents to avoid the portion of Franklin Street between Princess Street and Campbell Street on September 9th as the flow of traffic could periodically be impacted due to the delivery of a modular home.

We ask for everyone’s patience and cooperation during the construction season, however, should a member of the public have any concerns or questions of a general nature, please contact the Public Works Office at 613-257-2253.
