MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT UPDATES

Conversation with Dr. Stephen Walker

Mayor Doug Black was able to facilitate an opportunity to speak with a local medical professional about Covid-19. Today, Councillor Theresa Fritz talked with local physician Dr. Stephen Walker about Covid-19 and its effect on local communities.

 

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT UPDATES

The Government of Canada announced $50 million to help farmers, fish harvesters, and all food production and processing employers put in place the measures necessary to follow the mandatory 14-day isolation period required of all workers arriving from abroad.

 

PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT UPDATES

The Ontario Government continues to ensure that patients, frontline health care workers and first responders have the critical equipment and supplies they need to protect themselves during the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the last five days, more than 13 million surgical and procedural masks, 200,000 N95 respirator masks, and 38 ventilators have been delivered to Ontario's pandemic stockpile warehouses

 

The Province extended emergency orders until April 23, 2020 to continue to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
