FEDERAL GOVERNMENT UPDATES

The Government of Canada is working closely with partners to ensure Canadians have access to the information, resources and supplies they need to stay safe and healthy in response to COVID-19. Today, the Government of Canada launched a new web hub to bring together available resources for organizations buying and selling personal protective equipment (PPE).

 

PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT UPDATES

Child Care Centres Permitted to Reopen - Today, the Ontario government announced its plan to reopen child care centres across the province to support the next stage of the province's reopening framework.

Patio Extensions during COVID-19 - Yesterday the Province introduced new measures to support those who have liquor sales licenses to be able to temporarily extend their patios using public health measures once able to safely reopen for business.

Lanark County – Plastic Waste Reduction Survey

Lanark County wants to hear from you!! Please take our 5-minute survey. We are looking to our community to gather information and opinions surrounding single use plastic usage. The survey will be open for completion until July 3rd at 4:00pm.

Small Business Advisory Centre – Reopening Your Business Safely Webinar

Kim McCann, Senior Public Health Inspector with the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit will join the Small Business Advisory Centre on June 11th at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom to discuss reopening businesses in a manner that will minimize the transmission of COVID-19 and keep the number of local cases low. The topics will include public health measures such as physical/social distancing, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment such as masks, and other considerations on how to conduct business in a safe manner. This will be followed by a Q&A period so that you can ask specific questions about your business.
