It looks like power has been restored to most of the community. I know how much of a relief this must be after a few stressful days.
I would like to thank Staff, our CAO and all the residents for their patience.
I recognize that this is not the end of our situation. Many households lost food supplies, missed work, and there is still a lot of debris clean-up ahead of us.
We will continue to work with the community to ensure there are options for those who are experiencing food adversity, and assistance in the community clean-up efforts.
I am proud that our residents and businesses once again stepped up to help each other out and proved without a doubt what ‘community’ means in Carleton Place.
