The Town of Carleton Place Public Works Department would like to remind residents that weather conditions have the potential to impact construction schedules and objectives for the week ahead. Activities anticipated for the week ahead include the following:
Bridge Street Revitalization
Louis Bray and their crews have been busy this week! Concrete crews will be continuing the installation of concrete curbs on the east side of Bridge Street. This work has and will continue to impact on-street parking on Bridge Street. Louis Bray’s staff are doing everything possible to minimize the impacts and trying to get through this phase of the work as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, there is no alternative to this approach of the reconstruction.
Central Bridge Replacement
With the bridge deck in place, crews have moved to the underside of the bridge deck. Crews have been installing the Doka system which is the support system for the arch formwork on the east side of the bridge. Formwork is anticipated to commence on this side along with forming for the new southwest retaining wall.
Morris Street & Arthur Street
Cavanagh Construction will be applying the final top lift of asphalt tomorrow.
Crews will be reinstating asphalt driveways.
