The Corporation of the Town of Carleton Place is pleased to announce that Ross Rankin has been hired as the Town’s new Property and Project Manager. Mr. Rankin will begin his employment with the Town on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020.
The Property and Project Manager is a new position within the organization, responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of Town facilities and project management of various facility-related construction projects.
“As Carleton Place grows as a community, so does the demand on municipal facilities,” says Joanne Henderson, Manager of Recreation and Culture. “There are a number of upcoming growth-related facility projects and the addition of Ross to our facilities team will ensure both existing and future facilities continue to operate efficiently and effectively.”
Rankin has extensive experience in the recreation sector as Director of Facilities and Asset Management for the Recreation Association of the Public Service of Canada, as former Superintendent of the Nepean Sportsplex for the City of Ottawa and as the current past president of the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association (ORFA).
“The diverse needs of the Town’s various buildings and facilities pose a unique challenge that I am eager to take on,” says Rankin.
“Carleton Place has a well-established reputation for both the quality and maintenance of our facilities,” says Mayor Doug Black. Ross’s expertise will be a welcomed addition to Joanne Henderson’s dedicated staff as we continue to grow well into the future.”
