FOODIE FINDS

MAPLE

Lanark County is the Maple Syrup Capital of Ontario and there is no shortage of maple goodness here. We feature the local nectar in many of our restaurants and sell it in our stores.  In March we would encourage you to trek further afield to Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush or Temple’s Sugar Bush. Both offer an authentic maple camp experience with oh so yummy pancakes and award winning syrup.

CRAFT BREWERIES

Stalwart Brewing Company

Craft beer has come to the heart of Carleton Place! Stalwart Brewing Company brews a range of ales in the historic former home of Bennett Motors at the corner of Bridge and High streets. Formed by four former restaurant co-workers with a passion for bold beer, Stalwart is proud to create beers that pull no punches when it comes to flavour.

Braumeister Brewing Co.

Located along the picturesque Ottawa Valley Rail Trail, Braumeister Brewing Co. is a Bavarian-inspired craft brewery coming soon!

FARMERS’ MARKET

The Carleton Place Farmer’s Market (every Saturday from late May to early October) is a foodie’s paradise.  Fresh produce from local farmers, locally harvested meats, freshly baked pies and scones, and the bet little Indian kitchen in Lanark County make this little market a must stop.
