Employment Opportunity – Municipal Law Enforcement Officer

The Town of Carleton Place is seeking an individual to fill the full-time position (2) of Municipal Law Enforcement Officer.

Summary: 

The Municipal Law Enforcement Office shall ensure consistent enforcement of the Town’s Property Standards and other Municipal By-laws.

Qualification/Experience:

  1. Community College Diploma in Law Enforcement, Municipal Law Enforcement Officer Course I or equivalent combination of education and working experience in the municipal by-law or law enforcement field.
  2. Property Standards Officer or Municipal Law Enforcement Officer related certification would be an asset.
  3. Previous experience as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer or related experience in municipal by-law or law enforcement including the understanding of municipal licensing by-laws.
  4. A Criminal Reference Check (valid to 6 months of employment).

The 2024 pay grid for the position is $30.51 - $38.86 based on a 36.25-hour work week. In addition, a comprehensive benefit package with 100% employer-paid premiums for health, dental, life, short/long term disability is provided plus a pension plan with matching employer contribution.

Curbside Christmas Tree Collection

The curbside collection of Christmas trees will run from January 2nd to January 12th.

Please remove all tinsel, lights, and decorations before placing your tree at the curb.

No garbage stickers are required for this service.
