Active Living Centre

Carleton Place is pleased to be working with Mills Community Support to provide an Active Living Centre for Seniors at the former train station building on Coleman Street.

The centre is open Tuesday and Thursday - 12pm -4pm and Wednesday - 9am-12pm

Tech tutor program – bring your electronic device (iPad, tablet, computer or cell phone) and have our tech tutor teach you how to use it!

Strength & Balance Class – this exercise class is only as vigorous as you want it to be, with basic cardio, light weights and some good stretching. An hour of great music, good people laughter and movement leaves you feeling great and wanting more!

Crafting session – the space will be open and set up for members to drop in and show their creative side. Some supplies for crafts will be provided or you can bring in a project you have on the go to work on with friends. Calling all knitters, crafters and painters! Social time doing something you love with people who love it as much as you do. It doesn’t get any better. If you are making the provided craft a small fee may apply

Chair Based Exercise – A challenging and great workout that is easy on the hips and knees. Come out and enjoy the music with friends. Great for those who are just getting back on track with their fitness.
