Curbside Leaf Collection EXTENDED Carleton Place Public Works Department is extending the curbside leaf collection period for an additional week, now ending on Friday, November 17th. Residents are encouraged to get all their leaf bags to the curb as soon as possible to ensure there are no issues with collection. Please note, leaves in plastic bags will NOT be collected and bags must NOT exceed 15kgs (33lbs). Bags exceeding the weight limit will NOT be collected. The Compost Yard has closed for the 2023 season and will reopen in the spring of 2024.

Construction Update - November 16th, 2023 The Public Works Department would like to remind residents that weather, staffing, and supply of materials can impact our construction schedules. The following activities are anticipated for the upcoming week: Thomas Street (Townline Road to Bridge Street) Cavanagh Construction has now completed the installation of the new concrete curbs and concrete for the sidewalks is currently being poured as well as the installation of sod. Road Closure – Thursday, November 16th - Portion of Mississippi Road Public Works will be closing a portion of Mississippi Road tomorrow, Thursday, November 16th, between Terry Fox Avenue and Barker Street, to attend to a water service leak. The Public Works Department is asking residents to avoid the area if possible. We appreciate your understanding.
