Canada Day in Carleton Place – July 1
The Town of Carleton Place invites you to spend Canada Day along the Mississippi River, as we celebrate Canada Day with an assortment of live music, food, and family fun from 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
“In Our Construction Era” – Riverside Park will look a little different this year, but you can expect the same great celebration vibes.
Bicycle Valet Parking:
*New This Year! The Carleton Place Environmental Advisory Committee is proud to assist in the presentation of a Bicycle Valet. Travel by bike to the festivities and take comfort in knowing your bicycle will be safely secured.
This project is made possible by funding through the County of Lanark under the Local Tourism Initiatives Fund.
Bus Shuttle:
*New This Year! Due to limited parking and to reduce vehicle congestion near Riverside Park, the Town of Carleton Place is pleased to offer free bus shuttle service to & from the event.
Pick-up and Drop-off locations will be posted on the event Facebook page & carletonplace.ca no later than June 8th, 2026.
Family Activities Include:
Airbounce Inflatable Games (1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.), Craft/Activity Area (1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.), FIFA World Cup Activities (1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) and more!
Fireworks Display: Begins at 9:45 p.m., lasting approximately 15 minutes in length.
Food/Refreshment Vendors:
Vendors will be on-site from 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that not all vendors accept card payment; please plan accordingly.
Live Entertainment Includes:
The Carleton Place & District Community Band – 1:00 p.m.
Holly & The Hawks – 2:15 p.m.
Wild & Crazy – 3:45 p.m.
Jamie McMunn & Friends- 5:15 p.m.
The Rembros- 6:45 p.m.
The Social Distance- 8:15 p.m.
Fireworks Display- 9:45 p.m.
NO On-Site Parking:
On-site Parking will not be available for this event. Attendees are encouraged to utilize the free bicycle valet service, as well as the free bus shuttle service, in order to attend the event with ease.
Opening Ceremonies: 2:00 p.m.

Riverside Beach & Splash Pad:
Lifeguards on site at the beach from 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Splash Pad will remain open until 8:00 p.m. Public washrooms will remain open until 10:00 p.m.
Youth Volunteering Opportunities: This is a great opportunity to obtain some volunteer hours, as well as assist in making this event a success!
