The Town of Carleton Place has initiated a Transit Feasibility Study (TFS). The goal of this study is to identify operating needs and provide clear direction on capital investment for transit services both under the present conditions and as our municipality continues to grow.
The TFS will document the planning, implementation and on-going operation of a municipal transit solution, including startup costs.
How can YOU get involved?
A successful outcome will only be possible with your input and feedback. Public involvement is essential to help the project team identify the desires and concerns of future transit riders. The potential barriers and opportunities will feed into the development of our key priorities and directives.
The TFS includes multiple touchpoints with the public and key stakeholders. We will provide notifications through this project website, the CP Scoop, and the Town’s social media.
Online Transit Survey
Please support the TFS process by completing an online transit survey that will ask key questions about your thoughts, experiences and vision of transit in Carleton Place. This is an anonymous survey that will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete, just follow the link below.

Project Timeline
The TFS is scheduled to be approved by Council by Fall 2025. A tentative timeline is provided below.
