Host to many events from wedding receptions to fundraisers, the Upper Hall at the
Carleton Place Arena is the ideal place for large groups, offering many amenities which

Town Hall Auditorium- 175 Bridge Street
Located in our historic Town Hall overlooking the Mississippi River, the Town Hall Auditorium is the ideal venue for theatre, musical performances, and community events.
The Auditorium has a maximum capacity of 200 for theatre seating, 180 for theatre seating with the stage extension, 170 seated at round tables, and 150 seated at round tables with the stage extension.
The Auditorium offers:

Market Square Pavillion – 7 Beckwith Street
The Market Square Pavilion is equipped with washroom facilities, electricty and water
access, and a beautiful roof to provide shade and protect any event from rain or snow.
It is available for rental through the Recreation and Culture Department.

Carleton Place Canoe Club – 179 John Street
This historic Town-owned facility holds a large hall ideal for any special event. This is
one of the most picturesqe locations as it is situated along the Mississippi River.

Carleton Place Library: The Barbara Walsh Room – 101 Beckwith Street
This room is ideal for meetings, conferences and workshops. The room will

Carambeck Community Centre – 351 Bridge Street
The Carambeck Community Centre has an elementary school sized gym and a small meeting room available to rent. The gymnasium is the ideal venue for sporting events, children’s birthday parties and community events.
The gymnasium has a maximum capacity of 180 persons and the meeting room has a maximum capacity of 10 persons.

Public Parks and Trails Rental
You need a permit to hold an event, a special event or a regular planned activity at any of our municipal parks. Events and/or activities include but are not limited to community picnics, fundraisers, sporting events, sporting activities, weddings, birthdays and special events.
To book a park:
- Complete the park rental application form.
- Send the completed application form to sscollan@carletonplace.ca
- Once the application has been approved; a permit will be issued.
- On the day of the event, bring a copy of the permit with you.
**No individual or business where goods or services are exchanged for a monetary value shall operate in any park unless they have met the following criteria:
- The individual or business is of a recreational or a cultural nature.
- The individual or business has obtained a permit from the Recreation and Culture Department.
- The individual or business has paid the required fee.
The individual or business does not require storage.
