The Station Active Living Centre
Carleton Place is pleased to be working with Carebridge Community Support to provide an Active Living Centre (ALC) for Seniors at the former Train Station building- 132 Coleman Street.
To obtain a membership, please call the Carleton Place Arena (613-257-1690). Memberships are $26.50 for Carleton Place residents and $42.75 for all others.
Tuesdays: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Christmas Hours – Please note the Station will be closed for the holidays from December 23rd, 2024 to January 3rd, 2025
NEW! Fall Prevention Classes – In the New Year will be holding Fall Prevention Classes commencing January 14th, 2025. It is a 12-week program, classes held every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Station. If you wish to participate please send an email to: lindaberg@rogers.com.

Fridays at the Station with the Carleton Place & District Civitan Club
In conjunction with the Town’s Station Active Living Centre programming, join the Carleton Place & District Civitan Club every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Station (132 Coleman Street) for their new program ‘Aged to Perfection Seniors’. It will include crafts, cards, darts, ping-pong, knitting/crocheting, learning to play euchre and crib, and learning how to knit or crochet. Every Friday has a different agenda.
If you are interested in meeting new friends, reconnecting with old friends, or just having a great time, come join us!! Come for the morning or afternoon or stay the whole day (bring a lunch). We are so looking forward to greeting and meeting you and having a lot of laughs!!
Seniors Take Charge Seminar Series
The Town of Carleton Place is pleased to present the “Seniors Take Charge” seminar series starting on Tuesday, February 18th.
This 10-part series is aimed at empowering residents with information to allow them to continue to thrive in Carleton Place.

Each session will begin at 1:00p.m and will be an hour in length. Each session begins at 1:00pm. Sessions include complimentary snacks & refreshments, as well as community-minded conversation. Interested participants may choose to register for the entire series, or individual topics. Please note- the capacity per session is 25 attendees.

The North Lanark Age-Friendly Committee, together with Carebridge Community Support and the Town of Carleton Place, is pleased to introduce the North Lanark Age-Friendly Directory. In this directory you will find valuable information about local programs and services, including health care, volunteer opportunities, recreation and community support groups, and government programs for older adults.
