The Carleton Place Recreation & Culture Department is pleased to offer a variety of programs and special events for residents of all ages and abilities. Below you will find the current programs that are being offered by the Department and their locations. Carambeck Community Centre Programming

Infant Feeding Clinic: Every Wednesday: pre-registration is required.

Drop-In Basketball: Thursdays 1:00p.m. – 3:15p.m. There is no fee for this program, all are welcome.

Family Halloween Dance

Wear your best costume and bring your best dance moves to this year’s Family Halloween Dance!
This event takes place at the Carleton Place Arena Upper Hall on Sunday, October 27 from 9:30a.m. – 12:00p.m. All are welcome!

There will be craft activities, treats, and dancing fun!
We want this to be a fun and welcoming event for all!
Big ghosts must keep an eye on their little ghosts at all times.

Carleton Place Santa Claus Parade – November 30th, 2025

Please join us in downtown Carleton Place on November 30th at 5:00 p.m. as we host our annual Santa Claus Parade!

Route:

The Santa Claus Parade will BEGIN at Carleton Place High School (215 Lake Avenue West), travel up Lake Avenue, and turn left onto Bridge Street. The parade will then travel down Bridge Street, and end at the Carambeck Community Centre (351 Bridge Street).

Food Bank Donations

The Carleton Place and District Civitan Club will be walking the parade route and collecting non-perishable donations for the Lanark County Food Bank-The Hunger Stop, and monetary donations for The Carleton Place Christmas Basket Program. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food donation and/or a monetary donation.
