Program Registration: 

**NEW** Changes to our REGISTRATION procedure for Swim Lessons

When a program ends, registration will OPEN for taxpayers to Carleton Place and Beckwith on the next business day. Non-Contributing taxpayer areas may register 2 days after a program ends. Some exceptions will apply, and a registration date will be set prior to the program start date. Registration will open at 9:00 am unless otherwise noted. Please call if you need any additional assistance with when to register.

Registration for the next session of programs opens on August 13th for residents and August 15th for non-contributing areas.

The pool is transitioning to the Summer schedule.

The last Friday Public Swim is on June 28th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. (no Friday evening Swims over July and August)

The last Sunday Public Swim is on June 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Closed on Sundays for July and August)

Pool Admission / Supervision Policy

  • Children under the age of 6 must be within arms’ reach of a parent or guardian (max. 2 children per parent or guardian).
  • Children under the age of 10 and are NON/WEAK swimmers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at least 14 years of age and who are responsible for their direct supervision (max 4 per parent / guardian)
  • Children under the age of 10 years who are swimmers must be able to swim a minimum of 25 meters and the parent / guardian must remain in the facility. A swim test is required.
  • Children 6 years of age and older must use appropriate gender change rooms.

Centennial, Riverside Beach, and Splash Pad

The beaches at Centennial & Riverside, as well as the Riverside Park washrooms are now open for the 2024 season.

Riverside Park is located at 179 John Street.

Centennial Park is located at 169 Joseph Street.

Lifeguards will be on duty from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Washrooms are open at Riverside Park Beach daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00p.m. Porta Washrooms are available at Centennial Park until mid-October.

Water quality is tested by the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit

All patrons must respect closure signage.

River current could be stronger than expected. 

Parents/Caregivers—Keep non-swimmers within arms reach at all times.  

The Splash Pad at Riverside Park is available 7 days a week for public use and is set on a timer that can be turned on as early as 8:00 a.m. and will automatically shut off at 8:30 p.m. every night.
