The Carleton Place Arena has two ice surfaces, two program/event halls, and a boardroom. This facility is also home to many regular community groups and activities, including Ontario Early Years playgroups, weekly bingo, and more.
Arena programs typically start around Labour Day Monday and run until the end of March. Spring and summer programming will be added at later dates.

DriveTest
This facility also houses DriveTest, which operates out of the boardroom the first and third Wednesday of every month. For more information, visit the DriveTest website.

Public Skating
- Mondays & Wednesdays: 7:00–7:50pm
- Saturdays & Sundays: 2:00–2:50pm
- Cost: $2.00 per adult, $1.00 per child
- Starts September 7, 2026
Seniors Skating
- Mondays & Thursdays: 9:30–10:30am
- No charge. Seniors Skating may be cancelled on holidays.
- Starts September 10, 2026
Parents & Tots Skating
- Mondays & Thursdays: 10:30–11:20am
- No charge. Parents & Tots Skating is cancelled on holidays and PA days.
- Starts September 10, 2026
Pickup Hockey
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 11:30am–1:00pm
- Cost: $5.00 per player. No charge for goalies.
- Starts September 8, 2026
For the safety and enjoyment of all patrons and skaters, please respect the following public skating rules.
The following items are not permitted on the ice surface:
- No food or drink permitted on the ice surface.
- No horseplay or games of any kind.
- No skating backwards.
- No figure skating manoeuvres.
- No erratic or excessive speed skating.
- No balls, pucks, chairs, pylons, strollers, sticks, or any other item that might interfere with the safety of any skater on the ice surface.
- Skate aids/EZ-skates are not permitted.
- No headsets, cell phones, or hand-held electronic devices are to be used while skating.
- No carrying of children.
- No sitting on the boards or loitering.
- Skate with the direction of all skaters; no weaving in and out of other skaters.
- The centre of the ice is reserved for beginner/inexperienced skaters only.
- Please respect, listen to, and follow instructions from arena staff at all times.
- Respect other skaters.
- Report all accidents or injuries to arena staff immediately.
- All participants must wear skates on the ice surface.
- No unruly behaviour or profanity.
- Consider wearing a helmet; helmets are strongly recommended.
- Wheelchairs are permitted on the ice, provided the wheels are cleaned before use and the operator is wearing ice skates. Please keep the wheelchair next to the boards, away from skating traffic.
Penalties:
- 1st offence: removed from the ice for 15 minutes.
- 2nd offence: removed from the ice for the remaining skating time.
- 3rd offence: parents contacted and suspended from skating for 30 days.
- 4th offence: banned from public skating.
If you witness any of this behaviour, please report it to the arena supervisor.

- No cancellations.
- Prime time hours are Monday to Friday, 6pm–11pm, and Saturday & Sunday, 7am–10pm.
- 75% of participants must be from Carleton Place and/or Beckwith to receive the resident rate.
- Additional insurance fees may be added.
- Standby rates apply when booked 48 hours or less in advance.
