With the Holiday season fast approaching, we are reminded of the importance of family, community, hope and generosity. As such, Waterside Retirement Community is pleased to share with you an exciting outreach initiative we are spearheading in support of The Hunger Stop - Lanark County Food Bank. We are calling this initiative our “Stuff the Bus” campaign.
On December 10th, 2021, we will be taking our bus to Giant Tiger, Walmart, and Mitchell’s - Your Independent Grocer to collect non-perishable food items and cash donations from the community at large. We have set a goal to raise $1,500 in cash and “stuff our bus” with 1,500 lbs of food, all of which will go directly to The Hunger Stop at the end of the day. We will be stationed at each location for approximately 2.5 hours, starting with Giant Tiger at 8:00 am, Walmart at 10:30 am, with the final stop at Your Independent Grocer at 1:00 pm.
