The Annual General Meeting of The Carleton Place and Beckwith Historical Society will take place on Sunday, April 23 at 2 pm.
Rick Roberts of Global Genealogy will speak about the many useful local history and genealogy resources that they publish, especially as relating to Lanark County and Eastern Ontario.
Rick will bring along some examples of their publications, and do a draw for a Global Heritage Press book: 'Founding Families of Beckwith Township 1816-1846'.
Presentations will begin at 2:30 pm followed by the business meeting.
Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend but only those members in good standing are eligible to vote.
