Environment Canada has a Freezing Rain Warning in effect with significant ice accretion or build-up of 5 to 10 mm expected beginning early this morning, and ending this afternoon.

Environment Canada warns that surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break and utility outages may occur.

If the Town experiences an emergency, such as a power outage, information and updates will be shared via the Town’s website (www.carletonplace.ca), e-newsletter CP Scoop (www.carletonplace.ca/cpscoop), on the Lake 88.1 radio station, on social media, and on notice boards at the Pool (359 Bridge Street) and at the Arena (75 Neelin Street).
