I, Toby Randell, Mayor of the Town of Carleton Place, do hereby proclaim February 13, 2024 as Wear Red Canada Day. On this day, we unite to raise awareness for women’s heart health, recognizing the significance of this cause in our community.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, and by wearing red, we demonstrate our support for the well-being of all the women in our Town.
Let us join together in solidarity, encouraging one another to prioritize heart health and to take proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle.
Through this proclamation, we aim to emphasize the importance of education, prevention, and support for those affected by heart disease.
