Construction Update - October 15, 2020

Construction Update - The Town of Carleton Place would like to advise our residents of the following activities for the coming week, however, the schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, changes in the provision of materials and/or availability of staff:

Bridge Street At TownLine Road  – Road Closure - Work continues on the installation of a new sewage forcemain on Bridge Street from Townline Road to 50 m north of Townline Road. Unfortunately, there has been a few unexpected delays in the project.  This portion of Bridge Street will remain closed until October 23rd.

High Street - Crews have now completed the adjustments for the iron structures and will be paving the top lift of asphalt. Crews will also be placing topsoil in areas that were disturbed by construction activities in preparation for the laying of sod.

The Town of Carleton Place would like to ask for everyone’s help in ensuring safe and efficient work zones.  We would like to encourage residents to avoid the construction zones, however, should residents be travelling within the construction zones we urge you to proceed with caution and follow the directions provided by the Traffic Control persons and posted construction signage.

We ask for everyone’s patience and cooperation during the construction season, however, should a member of the public have any concerns or questions of a general nature, please contact the Public Works Office at 613-257-2253.
