Happy Earth Day from the Town of Carleton Place - We would like to encourage our residents to be actively involved in protecting our environment. Increasing your recycling activities, purchasing a backyard composter, using a rain barrel, planting trees or a garden, picking up litter while out for walk, or just getting outside to enjoy our parks and pathways are just a few ways you can help protect our urban environment. Residents can also volunteer with our Urban Forest/River Corridor Committee or the Carleton Place Environmental Advisory Committee to help guide change within our community. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit the Town of Carleton Place website.
We are fortunate to live in a Town that is abundant in parks, green spaces, and located on the beautiful Mississippi River. The Carleton Place Recreation and Culture Department takes special pride in these beautiful outdoor areas, but we cannot keep them clean and vibrant without your assistance. Picking up after your pets, putting garbage in designated garbage cans, and reporting any noted damage are all examples of ways that you can help keep our Town beautiful!
