Canada Community Building Fund
The Town of Carleton Place used their 2022 Canada Community Building Fund allocation of $337,576 to undertake a street Overlay Program. The Federal Gas Tax Fund (GTF) is a permanent source of funding provided up front, twice-a-year, to provinces and territories, who in turn flow this funding to their municipalities to support local infrastructure priorities.
The 2022 Overlay Program consisted of the grinding of the existing asphalt curbside to a depth of 40 mm and an asphalt overlay of 40 mm over the full width of the roadway on the following three (3) streets:
• Arthur Street from Napoleon Street to Boyd Street;
• Morris Street from Mississippi Road to Dunham Street;
• Morris Street from Napoleon Street to Graham Street.
