The Public Works Department is anticipating the following construction activities next week. Please be mindful that weather can adversely impact the proposed schedule.
Mill Street
Residents should be aware that vehicular access to Mill Street, between Beckwith Street and Judson Street, will be limited next week as the condominium located at 45-49 Mill Street is currently conducting repairs to the roof which has required lane reductions/closures to facilitate the repairs. Residents are asked to avoid this section of Mill Street until repairs are completed.
Lemaistre, Blair, and Alexander Streets
Next week, crews will be reinstating asphalt driveways and walkways that were impacted by construction.
Nelson Street West
Concrete curb and sidewalk replacements will be continuing next week. Residents will be advised by Cavanagh Construction’s staff when access to driveways will be limited. Once concrete work is completed, crews will begin replacing and grading granular materials in preparation for asphalt.
The Town of Carleton Place would like to ensure everyone’s safety and encourage residents, when possible, to avoid these active construction areas. Residents must follow posted signage, and the directions provided by traffic control personnel when they are present.
