WHEREAS Pink Shirt Day is an annual event to promote kindness, inclusivity, and anti-bullying efforts in schools, workplaces, and communities; and
WHEREAS the Town of Carleton Place recognizes the importance of fostering an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued; and
WHEREAS wearing pink on this day demonstrates our collective commitment to standing up against bullying and supporting those who have been affected;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Toby Randell, Mayor of the Town of Carleton Place, do hereby proclaim February 26, 2025, as Pink Shirt Day in Carleton Place.
I encourage all residents to wear pink and to promote kindness, acceptance, and positive change in our community.
