Asset Management Surveys – Buildings

Buildings

Carleton Place is committed to providing a high quality of life and exceptional services to residents. As part of the development of the 2025 Asset Management Plan (AMP) we will be looking to develop long-term tracking targets for levels of service. This plan will fall in accordance with Ontario Regulation 588/17, which mandates municipalities to establish a strategic asset management policy and maintain an asset management plan for municipal infrastructure assets.

This part of the survey is based around understanding your experience as an employee of the Town around the service delivered for the Municipality's buildings. Note, most answers are for all building categories, but if you have comments relating to a specific building sub-type (example: Arena), please leave those comments at the end. Please answer the following questions honestly:

How satisfied are you with the availability of the Town's buildings?
How satisfied are you with the condition and cleanliness of the Town's buildings?
How responsive are building services in addressing any issues you encounter?
Do you find that all areas have similar access to town owned buildings, or are some areas underrepresented?
Are there adequate resources (staff and money) to maintain the Town’s buildings?
Do you agree with the current approach to lifecycle and maintenance activities performed on the Town's buildings?
Are you a member of the team responsible for Town buildings?

The following questions are based around the current levels of service and your thoughts around them as they relate to the Town’s buildings. Levels of service are the standards and expectations set for performance, quality and efficiency of municipal assets and the services they deliver within the municipality.
