The Public Works Department is anticipating the following construction activities next week:
Library Parking Lot
Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited will begin asphalt and concrete removals in the Library parking lot starting Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. Please note the Library will remain open during this construction. Please visit the Town’s website for additional information regarding accessing the Library while the parking lot is closed.
Moore House Parking Lot
Crews will begin asphalt and concrete removals in the Moore House parking lot starting Thursday, September 5th, 2024. This parking lot will be closed during construction.
During the rehabilitation of these two (2) parking lots, residents are encouraged to utilize other municipal parking lots and on-street parking. The Town of Carleton Place will continue to update the public regarding the construction progress and would like to thank the public for its patience during this construction season.
Alexander Street
Crews will begin concrete curb and sidewalk works along Alexander Street. Residents who will be impacted by concrete works will be notified by Cavanagh Construction before the work begins.
Nelson Street West
The watermain commissioning / disinfection process is continuing. Concrete crews will also begin concrete curb and sidewalk works along Nelson Street West. Residents who will be impacted by the concrete works will be notified by Cavanagh Construction before the work begins.
The Town of Carleton Place would like to ensure everyone’s safety and encourage residents, when possible, to avoid these active construction areas. Residents must follow posted signage, and the directions provided by traffic control personnel when they are present.
