A movie production company will be filming scenes tomorrow night, Thursday, June 20th, 2024, in and around Carleton Place. Some local streets will be closed or have “rolling stops” to allow for filming. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be on-site to ensure safety as all of the scenes involve driving. The following road closures will be in place late tomorrow evening into the early morning to accommodate the movie production crew:
- McNeely Avenue – from the round-about at Roy Brown Boulevard to the entrance to the Beer Store/TD Bank
- Emily Street from Victoria Street to Bridge Street, and Bridge Street from Emily Street to Allan Street.
- Beckwith Street – Franklin Street to Mill Street.
There will be no parking on Beckwith Street from Franklin Street to Mill Street and Emily Street from Victoria Street to Bridge Street from 5:00 p.m. tomorrow until 5:00 a.m. on Friday.

On Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, Ramsay Street from George Street to Morphy Street, and Morphy Street from Mullet Street to Ramsay Street, will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to accommodate the Capt. A. Roy Brown Legion Branch Community Tattoo.
