Public Works Yard (97 Franklin Street)
The walls for the new salt shed and footings for the new 5-bay garage are being poured on July 2nd, 2026. Formwork will be stripped and backfilling will commence mid-week next week.
Lake Avenue West (O’Donovan Drive to Boat Launch)
All road works have been completed. Landscaping activities will take place in September.
Frank Street (Emily Street to Mississippi River)
All road works have been completed. Driveway reinstatements and paving will take place in early August. Landscaping will take place in September.
James Street (Townline Road to Bell Street)
All road works have been completed. Landscaping will take place in September.
Joseph Street (Townline Road to High Street)
Asphalt paving will occur July 2nd, 2026. Landscaping will take place in September.
Napoleon Street (Wilson Street to Woodward Street)
Watermain removal and replacement began June 29th and will be ongoing until July 17th.
Sarah Street (Lake to Woodward)
Roadway removals and granular replacement have commenced and will continue next week. Concrete repairs will begin in early July.
Sarah Street (Arthur to Morris)
Roadway removals and reinstatement will be ongoing between June 30th and July 7th. Concrete repairs will be completed in early July.
For everyone’s safety, the Town of Carleton Place asks that residents find alternative routes to avoid these active construction zones. If you cannot avoid these areas, please reduce your speed and follow the directions provided by flag crews and any posted signage.
