The Town of Carleton Place’s Community Development Department is collecting submissions to perform at our summer & fall events, including Canada Day, Jammin’ At The Junction, Carleton Place Dragon Boat Festival, Pumpkinfest, and Winterfest.
Canada Day is our annual celebration of exciting music, family entertainment, great food and fireworks. Performances would take place at Riverside Park between 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. in 1.5-hour performance sets. A sound technician & all sound equipment (including drum kit) are provided for this event. This is an outdoor event with a covered stage.
The Jammin’ at the Junction Series is an annual summer concert series at the Carleton Junction Pavilion on Thursday evenings between 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. We seek one performer per week as part of the five-week series. Sound equipment is provided for this event, and the performer is responsible for plugging in and managing their own sound. This is an outdoor event with a covered pavilion for the performer.
The Carleton Place Dragonboat Festival seeks one act to perform for the final hours of the festival at Riverside Park. This performance is between 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a potential request to perform longer if timing allows. Sound equipment is provided for this event, and the performer is responsible for plugging in and managing own sound. This is an outdoor event with a covered stage.
Carleton Place Pumpkinfest seeks one act to perform for two hours on either the Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday afternoon of Pumpkinfest Weekend. This performance is between 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday. Sound equipment is provided for this event, and the performer is responsible for plugging in and managing own sound. This is an outdoor event with a covered stage.
Carleton Place Winterfest seeks two acts to perform for two hours of Winterfest. This is an outdoor event on a covered stage from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in November. Sound equipment is provided for this event, and the performer is responsible for plugging in and managing own sound. A sound technician & all sound equipment (excluding drum kit) is provided for this event.
