The Public Works Department will be providing regular updates regarding our municipal construction activities. Residents can visit the Town’s website at https://carletonplace.ca/town/municipal-services-info/infrastructure-projects# for detailed information regarding the list and scope of each of our projects for this year’s construction season.
Activities anticipated for the upcoming week include the following:
Nelson Street West – The Town of Carleton Place would like to advise residents that Thomas Cavanagh Construction has begun preparations for the reconstruction of Nelson Street West. Starting at Brown Street, crews will be installing and commissioning a temporary water supply for homes impacted by the watermain replacement. Detour signage will be in place. If time and weather permit, crews will also begin the removal of the asphalt and concrete along Nelson Street West.
The Public Works Department would like to remind residents that weather, staffing, and supply of materials can impact construction schedules.
The Town of Carleton Place would like to ensure everyone’s safety and encourage residents, when possible, to avoid active construction areas. Residents must follow posted signage and follow directions of traffic control personnel when present. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding any of our projects, please call (613) 257-2253.
