WHEREAS National Public Works Week recognizes the hard work and dedication of the public works professionals who maintain and enhance the quality of life in our community; and
WHEREAS this year’s theme is “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community”; and
WHEREAS these essential workers ensure the safety and functionality of roads, water systems, and more; and
WHEREAS the Town of Carleton Place is proud to celebrate the contributions of public works employees and acknowledge their vital role in our daily lives;
NOW THEREFORE, I, Toby Randell, Mayor of the Town of Carleton Place, do hereby proclaim May 17 to 23, 2026, as National Public Works Week in Carleton Place.
I encourage all residents to show their support and appreciation for the individuals who keep our Town running smoothly.
