Construction activities anticipated for the upcoming week include the following:
Public Works Yard – 97 Franklin Street
Foundations for both buildings have been backfilled, and granulars for the floors are being placed.
Frank Street (Emily Street to Mississippi River)
All road works have been completed. Driveway reinstatements and paving will take place in early August.
Napoleon Street (Wilson Street to Woodward Street)
Watermain commissioning will be ongoing until July 28th. Roadwork to commence July 28th once watermain commissioning is completed.
Sarah Street (Lake Avenue to Woodward Street)
Road construction and concrete replacement efforts are ongoing.
Sarah Street (Arthur Street to Morris Street)
Road construction and concrete replacement efforts are ongoing.
College Street (Victoria Street to Bridge Street)
Roadway removals and concrete will continue over the next week.
Rosamond St OVRT crossing
Roadway removals will begin July 31st.
Please note that landscaping reinstatement activities on completed streets will not take place until September to avoid the summer heat.
For everyone’s safety, the Town of Carleton Place would like to request that residents find alternative routes to avoid these active construction zones. If you cannot avoid these areas, please reduce your speed and follow the directions provided by flag crews and/or any posted signage.
