Sister Cities Twinning Program
Carleton Place is involved in the Sister Cities Twinning Program and has partnered with Comrie in Scotland and Franklin in Tennessee, USA.
The Sister City program promotes the agreement between communities in different countries to encourage the expansion of activities designed to help each other develop an understanding of historical, lifestyle and cultural similarities and differences.
Franklin, Tennessee

Comrie, Scotland
The beautiful village of Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland, lies on the banks of the River Earn nestled on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. Comrie is in the heart of the scenic West Strathearn area of Perthshire. Situated at the meeting of Glens Lednock and Artney with the Scottish Highlands rising to the north.
