The Town of Carleton Place would like to remind residents that weather, staffing, and supply of materials can impact the construction schedule. Activities anticipated for the upcoming week include the following:
Project 26 Sanitary Sewer Upsizing Project (McNeely Avenue)
Crews will continue the restoration of the concrete elements — such as curbs and medians — along the Independent Drive Aisle and McNeely Avenue, and the reinstatement of asphalt surfaces and landscaping.
Charles Street
Crews will be replacing granular materials and sidewalk panels.
Findlay Pump Station
Crews will be working on the installation of the new building foundation.
Princess Street Pumping Station
Work will continue on the rehabilitation of the existing wet well and foundation for the new generator.
Industrial Avenue Pumping Station
Work will continue on the installation of the forcemain on Industrial Avenue. Please adhere to the direction provided by the flag persons.
Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion
Crews will be on site exposing infrastructure prior to excavation in the upcoming weeks. Hydro line relocation is currently underway.
For everyone’s safety, the Town of Carleton Place and its contractors would like to request that residents find alternative routes to avoid these active construction zones. If you are unable to find alternative routes around the construction, please reduce your speed and follow the directions as provided by flag crews and/or any posted signage. Our goal is to ensure everyone is able to go home safely at the end of each day. Should you have any questions about any of our projects, please reach out to the Public Works Office at (613) 257-2253.
